What is the STEM Certificate Program?
Please Read! New Information!
STEM Certificate Information 2022-23 STEM Certificate Student Registration Form The PHS STEM Certificate program provides an opportunity for students to extend and explore their interests in STEM programs outside of the classroom. We want students to have a wide variety of opportunities to learn and grow beyond their regular classroom work, and we want students who pursue additional STEM opportunities to receive recognition for their work. Our goal is to provide students with unique, meaningful STEM experiences that will enrich their high school academic learning and positively impact their future academic and professional opportunities. |

How do I participate in the STEM Certificate Program?
The first step to take if you want to participate in Piner's STEM Certificate program is to join the STEM Certificate class on Google Classroom (classroom invitation link) If you are signed into your Google Classroom account, use the join code o3pb6ts to join. Once you have added the class, you should complete and submit the Student Information form found on the Classwork tab of the course (and also linked above). Once this is completed, you're in!
Do I have to complete the certificate levels in order?
No! While Level II and Level III projects are generally completed in the Junior or Senior year, you can participate in any level project during any year. Level II and Level III projects will require the guidance of a teacher, so be sure to check in with your core science or math teacher for help getting these projects started.
